Two of the most important qualities of a good contractor are trustworthiness and high-quality work (I found out later that he has been doing this for something like 40+ years). Porter Painting & Wallpapering has both of these in spades. With regard to quality, Mr. Porter and his team delivered amazing work, on time. When we first met Doug for an estimate, he looked at the house and recognized it as he had initially painted it over 25 years ago. He knew the original owners by name, who we had purchased it from almost 22 years ago. We were so happy to have found him, because we wanted someone to paint it as well as the first time. We were successful. Doug listened to our needs for painting the house, including new shutters and a separate garage. He educated and guided us through the colors, how long the process would take and gave us an estimate without him knowing, which was almost exactly what we were hoping for.

A crew of painters came to our house like it was a major building project. They were friendly and thorough. They pressure washed, cleaned, scrapped, filled in and repaired cracks, primered and put down paint and trim work with fantastic results. We had the doors painted a unique red which made them look beautiful. The detail work around the doors, lights, exterior fans and windows is incredible. Our worn wood trim and patio porch pillars look new.

We now have a beautiful new exterior which we will enjoy for years to come. I wish more area businesses had customer service as good as Doug and his crew. We have no doubt when we do the interior work of painting and wallpapering, it will be Doug at Porter Painting & Wallpapering who will be getting the call.
